Romans 3:24 (NLT)- Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
As I mentioned yesterday, grace is the topic in which we will be focusing our attention to this week. We will be touching on accepting grace for ourselves, and extending it to others. But, first I want to direct our attention to grace as it was initially given to us by The Creator of The Universe and how he continues to offer it to each one of us daily.
Over 2000 years ago, The Creator of all things chose to die on the cross for you and I. Not only did he die for us, but he endured a beating leading up to his death that no one should ever have to endure. Why? So that our sins would be forgiven, and so that we would someday be one with him. Did you hear that? Let me repeat it. He died so that OUR sins would be forgiven. Now, I know this is not news to you, but have you seriously ever taken the depths of that into consideration?
I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a single person who would willingly lay down their own life for me so that mine could be spared, as a result of my own wrongdoing. Nor would I expect for anyone to. Can you? Would you? On top of that, we are talking about the Creator, guys. You know, the King.
So, why would he go through all of that when he had the power to stop it? It wasn’t something that he had to do, but rather something that he chose to do. He was willing. As a mother of 3 children, I believe that it was because of his deep love for each one of us…HIS children. He wants the best for us out of love, as all parents do for their children. He understands that we are all on a journey to becoming the people that he created us to be. The keyword there is BECOMING. See, we are all learning, growing and becoming. We have not yet arrived. It’s the whole point of our existence on earth.
The good news is, there is nothing that we can do to earn his grace, nor anything that we can do for it to be taken away. He did it all, and he did it the day he died for you and I. It’s hard for me to wrap my mind around that sometimes, but it’s such a beautiful thing to think about, really.
Speaking of grace being extended to us by the Lord, have you had an opportunity to think of a time when grace was extended to you , yet? I sure have, and it’s been multiple times, honestly. Tomorrow, we will focus on accepting grace. I sure hope that you will join us here early tomorrow morning and as always, on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/thefaithfilledtraveler/ , until then. Be sure to like the page, if you haven’t done so already so that you can keep up with what is happening with The Faith Filled Traveler throughout the day. And if you are finding these blog post helpful, please share them with your friends and family!
I’ll see you guys soon!

There has been multiple times where God’s grace was extended to me as well. Everything that I have been through in my life makes me stronger for what God has in store for me.
I too am in awe of the grace God has extended to me and the price He paid for my soul, I’m overwhelmed! Thanks so much for the reminder!!
The depths of his love for us all is so beautiful, Mitzi! Thank you for sharing and for being here. (Hugs)
This past 4 months has been a journey of change for me and I’ve experienced God’s Grace in a way I never imagined. My life was flipped upside down due to the actions of other people. I had no control and I couldn’t change what happened. I could only change me and my future and a dear person in my life told me the only way through it was to give it to God. And so I did. He has lifted me, comforted me and has reminded me that I am beautifully and wonderfully made. His grace has perfect timing and perfect healing.
Amen, Natalie! I am so glad to hear that things have made a turn for the good . He truly is an awesome God! I pray that as you continue to walk through this life with him that you will find peace in all things, including others. (Hugs) from Texas!
